Harnessing Platforms for good

Andy Warhol is famously quoted as saying “In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes”. This premonition may not have come to pass, but never before has there been as many mediums to create your own celebrity. Simply by sharing your passions on social media you could become an overnight sensation and find yourself quite powerful in your own right. Whether it be a company, celebrity or influencer the power of the platform they possess needs to be managed ethically and when done so we believe that should be celebrated. Recently lacoste used their platform to highlight world’s most threatened animals in one of the cleverest advertising ideas of the year, from agency BETC Paris. In a collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Lacoste swapped its famous crocodile logo for ten of the world’s most threatened animals on a set of limited edition polo shirts.
